CycleTrader.com is showcasing new services for dealers and consumers at the Progressive International Motorcycle Show in Daytona Beach, Fla., which began Wednesday and runs through Saturday. The company is displaying its free Post an Ad service, newly redesigned iPhone and iPad apps, and Fast Deals offering.
People can use the apps’ mobile search feature to find nearby motorcycles for sale. The apps allow users to access full-featured searches of CycleTrader.com listings nationwide. They also provide access to Google Maps, driving directions, vehicle details and photos.
“Since the launch of v2.0 of the Cycle iPhone app in February 2011, there have been 48,347 downloads and 27,519 leads,” said Phillip Billups, director of product development. “The Cycle iPad app launched in October 2010, and in 2011 there were 7,479 downloads and 507 leads. We expect a great increase in these numbers in 2012.”
In May 2011, CycleTrader.com launched a free advertising model for consumers selling their motorcycles. Sellers can add four photos to each advertisement for no cost, with the listing remaining online for two weeks. Upgrades can be purchased a la carte, or an ad can remain online 12 weeks with the purchase of the Top of the Line bundle for $49.
“Our CycleTrader Private Seller ad count increased 83 percent in 2011 compared to 2010,” said Scott Spears, CycleTrader’s director of private seller advertising. “Since changing our options, our private seller listings have increased by 130 percent.”
In appreciation of its customers, CycleTrader is giving the first 500 people to visit it at booth 720 a free koozie and Walnecks Classic Cycle magazine.
