COLUMBUS, Ohio – Iron Pony Motorsports has hired former American Motorcyclist Association national riding manager Dave Hembroff as special projects director.
The position, which is new, integrates customer and Iron Pony team engagement, special events and marketing for Iron Pony Motorsports Group, Inc. and Pony Powersports Group LLC.
“Dave will be working with every division of the Iron Pony family as we move forward to take Iron Pony to the next level,” said Iron Pony president Chris Jones. “We are looking to take Dave’s knowledge of the national motorcycle scene and leverage it as we grow.”
Hembroff oversaw more than 500 events and 600 clubs while at the AMA, including five national riding series and 50 major rallies and conventions.
“I came to central Ohio in July 2006, just in time for Mid-Ohio’s Vintage Motorcycle Days,” Hembroff said. “I look forward to promoting Iron Pony’s presence there this year for VMD and Superbike weekend. We will have some cool Pony gear and ‘save the date’ information for our big Indian Motorcycle open house week in September.”
Iron Pony will also support the VMD featured marque, selling official Indian-branded gear at the Motorcycle Hall of Fame display tent.
“With the riding season in full swing and two upcoming events this month, as well as the chili cookoff in August and September’s Indian open house, we expect Dave’s experience and knowledge to come in very handy,” Jones said. “But where we are really excited is getting Dave’s help creating more customer engagement opportunities to spread the Iron Pony culture throughout Ohio and the region.”
