Dealer Expo 2010: Western Power Sports Unveils its Spidi Lineup

admin

Western Power Sports is using Dealer Expo as its first chance to show off the lineup of Spidi street apparel the distributor now carries.

Dealers can check it out and explore some new business opportunities with Spidi starting Saturday by visiting the WPS exhibit in the 3300 to 3500 aisles. The folks from Boise, Idaho, have allocated a portion of their booth to create a display of the chic Italian gear.

VP of sales Dan Lopez says Western Power Sports worked with Spidi to select some of its more popular products to carry, and the distributor now has the apparel in inventory, ready to order.

It was back in August that WPS announced in a surprise message to its sales reps that it had taken on distribution of the high-end brand. At the time, WPS president Craig Shoemaker proclaimed Spidi as a unique category of riding apparel.

WPS has some other show specials. Dubach Racing Development is offering WPS dealers a chance to “buy three, get one free” on its exhaust systems (a pretty big deal for the exhaust market, Lopez says).

The distributor is also showing Two Brothers Racing products for the first time since picking up the brand in July, he notes, as well as the Asterisk knee brace, which previously had been available only dealer-direct.

Dealers can also expect to peruse the latest tires from Pirelli, another brand new to WPS. Dealers buying any 12 Pirelli tires that WPS carries on one order will get two tires for free (limited to a maximum of 20 orders, 240 purchased tires and 40 free tires).

On the freebie front, Western Power Sports will again be firing up its free backpack offer — they give away up to 4,000 free backpacks at every show — as a gesture of appreciation to dealers attending Dealer Expo and doing business with them.
