Dealer puts traffic cones in front of store to slow down speeders

The owner of a motorcycle repair shop in Arlington, Fla., is causing a stir with his solution to speeders in front of his shop: he put traffic cones out in the road.

"My wife was almost t-boned in this intersection and I had two customers almost clipped coming out of the driveway," Ken Foldy, who opened Ken’s Motorcycle Repair in October, toldWJXT. "The problem is they just don't see us."

Foldy says part of the problem is there are few stop signs in the area and a sign displaying the speed limit of 30 miles per hour is two blocks away. So out came the cones.

"I've had the police called on me several times because speeders are complaining about the cones being in the road," Foldy says.

The television station used a radar gun near the business to confirm the problem.
