Dealernews wins regional editorial honors

SANTA MONICA, Calif. – Dealernews has won top honors among Pacific Region media brands in the American Society of Business Publication Editors' national awards competition.

The DealerNEWS ALERTS won the Gold prize for General Excellence in e-newsletters. The ALERTS were launched in 2009 and since then have become the largest source of breaking news in the powersports industry. The DealerNEWS ALERTS distribute on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Mary Slepicka took top honors in the Editorial category, with her May and November 2013 “Editor’s Note” columns in Dealernews magazine winning the Gold prize:

The ASBPE Pacific Regional competition involves media brands from a variety of industries, including technology, legal and travel, and includes such strong publications as California Lawyer, InformationWeek, Oregon Business and Travel Age West. Dealernews is headquartered with the Advanstar Powersports Group in Santa Monica, Calif., although its editors are based throughout the United States.

The ASBPE Azbee Awards of Excellence program is one of the most competitive contests for business-to-business online and print media. The awards recognize outstanding work by magazines, newsletters and digital media, and are open to all U.S.-based business publications. ASBPE, founded in 1964, is the professional association for full-time and freelance editors, writers, art directors and designers employed by business, trade, association and specialty press.
