ROANOKE, Va. – Two dealers have stepped up to help a motorcycle club spread a message of safety with a public awareness campaign on the side of a moving van.
Twin Valley Riders got Lawrence Transportations Systems to turn the van into a rolling billboard. The $2,100 project was made possible by Lawrence Transportation Systems, Twin Valley Riders, Star City Powersports and Frontline Eurosports.
“The message is look twice, save a life. Not only does it apply to motorcycles but to cars as well. Anywhere on the highway,” Mark Carter, who works for Lawrence and is a member of the Twin Valley Riders, told WSLS.
The van is getting some people’s attention. Motorcycle clubs in Washington, D.C., and New York are looking into doing the same thing in their communities.
“This project is going to mean a lot for the motorcycle community, raising the awareness for everybody, letting them know that there is more motorcycles on the road,” Eurosports sales manager Nate Jennings said.
