Deputies Bust Theft Ring

Sheriff's deputies in Auburn, Calif., have recovered several motorcycles believed stolen from cycle dealers in the Auburn area, according to Sacramento TV station KCRA.

Authorities discovered the bikes at a home after the Placer County Sheriff's Department and investigators from the California Highway Patrol ran a probation check on an Auburn.

Todd Swindle, 40, was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, officers told KCRA.

The bike was a Kawasaki KX-250F motorcycle which had been reported stolen from TNT Motorcycles in Auburn last summer.

A storage unit renter, Kevin Mullenix, 24, was arrested for vehicle theft and other related charges after authorities recovered two more bikes and a trailer from Ace Mini Storage on Shale Ridge Lane in Auburn. They are still trying to identify three other bikes tied to the pair, the station reported.
