VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - DesignWraps Brands has added to its Peace Collection, part of the company’s Wraps of Hope and Savvy Threads brands.
The Peace Collection now includes the TotalWrap headwrap, headbands, RidersBeanies, 2x1 Rib Tanks, Baby Rib sleeveless V-neck shirts and a V-Neck Burn Out shirt.
The peace-symbol-adorned line is designed for women with modern sizing to accommodate all shapes. Suggested retail for the headwear ranges from $29.95 for the headbands to $34.95 for the TotalWrap headwraps. Tops range from $59.95 to $69.95, and all products in the Peace Collection have a 50 percent to 54 percent margin for dealers.
“We are now 100 percent made in America. Every stitch, every fabric, every hangtag, all of the packaging that we do. It’s pricier, but we really do live the fact that we want to create more jobs,” said DesignWraps founder Joan Krenning.
Krenning added that DesignWraps still offers its SMART Ordering System. Dealers choose a package based on their budget, and DesignWraps selects a mix of top-selling designs. Anything that goes unsold is returnable for credit. And, Krenning said, “We have no minimums. We will work with the smaller shops to get them the package that’s perfect for them.”
Casual apparel like DesignWraps headwear and ladies shirts are popular sales items during summer events and rallies, but Krenning said that having a reputation for keeping items stocked is more important than a flashy display.
“When people know you’re going to stock a product, they’ll take that trip of 100 miles or three hours of riding because they know they’ll walk out with that product instead of being told they have to order it,” Krenning said. “In order to make money today, with the climate the way it is, [dealers] are making sure they have product in the store when people arrive.”
