NORTHBROOK, Ill. - Internet retailer The Hub Companies said it has launched a new e-commerce site for powersports riding gear and apparel.

The Hub Companies started in 2011 with theoilhub.com and since then has built retail sites selling ATV, motorcycle, snowmobile, marine and auto parts. With the launch of riderapparelhub.com, the company has "figured out a way to virtually serve all aspects of the powersports and automotive industries," it stated in a press release.

The site is operated by Edge Xtreme Sports, a brick-and-mortar retailer and service shop that is now a subsidiary of The Hub Companies, which as of last May was supplying products to 3,000 dealers across North America.

Riderapparelhub.com will offer riding gear and apparel for motorcycle, snowmobile, ATV, dirtbike and scooter riders, plus protective gear for automotive and motorcycle racers, according to the release. "Their large selection will include everything from helmets, jackets, gloves, jerseys and pants to even cold weather riding gear [and] Bluetooth rider headsets. They will also be carrying products from top named brand companies such as Speed & Strength, Icon, Joe Rocket, Thor, Alpinestars, Moose Racing, Answer, MSR, Fox Racing [and] more."

“We felt that to make the shopping experience as easy as possible for the customer, we wanted it to be separate from our other websites,” stated Jim Sanders of RiderApparelHub.com.

The site includes videos and a "live inventory" feature, which shows customers what is in stock and ready to ship. "The customer will not only be able to find what they are looking for easier with a separate website, but will feel comfortable knowing the item they are purchasing will be shipping out within a reasonable time,” stated Eugene Lorman of Motoparthub.com.
