VISALIA, Calif. – Police called to a home to intervene in a family disturbance arrested the resident when they found more than they expected in the home: a partly stripped stolen motorcycle.
The bike had been reported stolen from a garage in the town a month earlier. Saturday evening, officers answering the family disturbance call spotted the stolen motorcycle.
The property crimes and gang suppression units got a warrant and searched the home. In addition to the stolen motorcycle, they found another unreported stolen motorcycle from Farmersville, according to the Fresno Bee.
Police arrested a 36-year-old man on several charges including owning and maintaining a chop shop and possession of stolen property. He was booked into the Tulare County Jail. Police are still investigating.
