AKRON, Ohio — When Dunlop unveiled the original Qualifier, it blew away expectations of what the tire company could offer to street-riding customers. After turning over this new leaf, Dunlop went on to improve upon this success with the Q2.

Now, even after winning a recent Sport Rider tire comparison with the Q2, Dunlop is launching the new Q3 with a new high-tech soul.

The big news in the Q3 is the carbon fiber sidewall reinforcement. Well known for its light weight and strength, CF is used to make the new Q3 stronger for improved stability and cornering performance on the street and the track. In addition, the Q3 makes use of Dunlop’s Multi-Tread dual compounds and uses a variant of the popular D211 GP-A tread to put additional rubber on the road.

Finally, the new tires are actually made using the same machinery in Buffalo, N.Y., that creates the racing spec tires for the AMA series, further connecting the new Q3 with its performance roots.
