MILAN, ITALY — Hundreds of members of the motorcycle press assembled at EICMA today to gather information on dozens of newly introduced motorcycles. Reminiscent of a feeding frenzy, or rugby scrum, the media throng moved from one OEM to the next to see what the world's motorcycle manufacturers plan for 2008.

The day started with KTM revealing its family of 690 bikes plus the daring 1190RC8 Superbike.

The press scrum then moved to see Aprilia's new FV2 Milledue and SMV 750 Dorsoduro...

and on to Honda's new Euro-spec CBR1000R Fireblade and DN-01, a motorcycle/scooter hybrid operated via CVT.

They saw Moto Morini's Granpasso 1200 dual sport; MV Agusta's F4RR 1078 superbike; Husqvarna's three new off-road bikes, including the WR250, TE250 and TC250; Hyosung's new supermoto, the RX450; Piaggio's X7 scooter and an MP3 with a roof and trailer;

SYM's QuadRaider 600 ATV; Vectrix's forthcoming Electric Superbike; and Yamaha's new TMax scooter and its previously unveiled Concept Vmax. (Continued)
