Employee used company cards to pay personal bills, shop owner says

ORANGEBURG, S.C. - An Orangeburg motorcycle shop employee has been arrested after the boss notified investigators that she had used the company’s account to pay more than $41,000 in personal bills.

The owner of Orangeburg Cycle Shop said he discovered a woman at his Five Chop Road shop had been using company accounts to pay several of her personal credit card bills. The owner said bank records going back at least a year indicate the employee used the company account to pay Capital One $20,200, Discover another $15,953 and a local retailer more than $5,000, according to the Times and Democrat.

On Wednesday, bond was set at $7,500 surety for the woman, who is charged with breach of trust over $10,000.
