End of the line for Orange County Motorsports

OTD Cycle Sports will close its Orange County Motorsports store Saturday, then hold a liquidation sale June 12-14.

The Santa Ana shop has been in business since 1996 and handled Victory, Triumph, Kawaski, Suzuki and Moto Guzzi. Shop manager Dan Acosta faulted the bad economy and tight consumer credit for the closure, which includes laying off 10 employees.

“We just weren’t making enough,” he told the Orange County Register.

Acosta added that other OTD Cycle Sports stores, such as those in Los Angeles, would remain open. (Click HERE for all locations.) The liquidation sale will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 12, 13 and 14 and include everything, including fixtures and office equipment.

OTD Cycle sports stores in Inglewood, Marina del Rey and Auburn, Calif., as well as one in Denver are expected to remain open.
