EVS unveils protective vests for snowmobile enthusiasts, racers

EVS Sports has developed two new snowmobile rider vests, one that's race-ready and another that's trail-ready.

The high-visibility Blaze Orange SV1R protective vest (MSRP: $250) is made of a durable ballistic nylon with ballistic mesh outer shell, and puncture-resistant internal EVA and PP armor. Its embossed bio-foam exterior panels provide increased roost and impact protection, and it features adjustable and removable reinforced PP armor shoulder guards. It is equipped with a RECCO avalanche rescue system and is neck brace-compatible. It also has an ignition kill tether attachment. According to EVS, the vest meets all ISR guidelines.

The SV1 trail-ready snow vest (MSRP: $200) is constructed much the same way as the race vest, and also has the avalanche rescue system. It has a compact, lightweight design, with a zipper front closure and removable Wind Stopper fleece collar. It features adjustable side straps and high-visibility reflective piping. It also has the ignition kill tether.
