BATAVIA, Ill. – Authorities are investigating the cause of a Oct. 4 fire that caused an estimated $110,000 in damages to a motorcycle shop in this town, roughly 40 miles west of Chicago.
Diesel’s Service & Repair sustained about $50,000 in damages to 10 to 15 motorcycles, $40,000 in losses of tools and equipment, and about $20,000 in damage to the building, Acting Battalion Chief Scott Hogan told the Bellingham Herald.
Smoke was reported about 7 p.m. and fire departments from four towns responded. The fire was extinguished in about 15 minutes and no injuries were reported, Hogan said.
