HAZLETON, Pa. – Fire investigators are trying to determine what started a fire that destroyed a garage and most of its contents at the rear of Holeshot Cycles and Accessories April 17.

A separate parts area took minimal smoke and water damage as firefighters knocked down the blaze. The parts area remained open with the owner, Galen Dickson, and his staff inside as fire crews from Hazleton, West Hazleton and Hazle Township were fighting the fire, according to the Hazleton Standard Speaker.

The Hazleton Fire Department posted several videos of the firefight on its Facebook page.

Chief Donald Leshko said his department found motorcycles and motorcycle parts inside when they responded to the fire at 2:56 p.m. and some motorcycles were on fire when crews arrived. Though firefighters sprayed the building with water, the siding melted and the roof collapsed as Public Works crews brought foam to cover lubricants inside the workshop.

"The fire (cause) is undetermined," Leshko said. "Nothing appears to be suspicious at this time."

A passer-by reported the fire, which is under investigation. Leshko said the same business had a fire at a previous location more than a decade ago.
