PARIS, Tenn. – A fire that broke out on July 25 while employees were packing for Sturgis destroyed a semi and trailer for Pit Bull Motorcycle Lifts, according to local reports.
Lt. Jamie Hinson of the Paris Landing Volunteer Fire Department confirmed the news to the Paris Post-Intelligencer. Hinson said the fire began in the trailer, which owner Tony Watson had been servicing earlier.
“The trailer was the initial fire, and it spread to the truck sitting right next to it,” Hinson said.
Watson told the newspaper they were working inside the shop to prepare for a trip to the Sturgis rally when they noticed the 45 ft. trailer was on fire. Watson estimated the damage to the truck, trailer and its contents at $75,000.
The cause of the fire is still undetermined, Hinson said.
