DESTIN, Fla. – A Florida developer is planning to open a sports complex that will include motorcycles as well as indoor shooting and archery ranges, and a pizza parlor.

Damon Becnel wants to open the Family Hunt Club in at the site of a former night club, Club Overboard/Twisted Palm, in Destin.

“It’s going to be a multi-function entertainment complex,” Becnel told the Northwest Florida Daily News.

He hopes to sell, rent and repair motorcycles at the facility and said he has spoken with Victory, Triumph and boutique marques like Cleveland Motorcycle Manufacturing Co. and Revolutionary Cycles. He also plans to offer complete fabrication and custom builds.

“We wanted to bring in something other than Harley-Davidson,” Becnel said. “These are exotic and things that people don’t normally get to see.”

The motorcycle sales and repairs and restaurant operations will be based out of the existing building. Another will be built for the shooting ranges.

Becnel said they would offer motorcycle riding lessons, archery lessons, gun safety classes, concealed weapons permits and shooting instruction. A full service gunsmith will also be on hand.
