The former owner of Mad Motorcycles in Stuart, Fla., is facing tax evasion charges.

Angelena Viner, 43, of Jupiter, was arrested last week on a state warrant for tax fraud. Her bail was set at $200,000 in the Florida Department of Revenue case, according to the TCPalm.

Department investigators said that during 2009 and 2010, Viner failed to send the state all the sales taxes she collected. They allege she owes more than $219,000. The maximum penalty, if convicted, is 30 years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines. She could be ordered to repay the taxes, plus interest, and a state penalty.

"Individuals who collect tax but don't send it in are stealing taxpayer dollars and gaining an unfair financial advantage over honest businesses," Florida Department of Revenue executive director Lisa Vickers stated.
