A new Yamaha dealer is rolling into Gastonia, N.C.

Tim Mooney shuttered his Michigan dealership and moved to the Charlotte area, where he plans to open Full Throttle Powersports next week.

He?ll offer a full line of new and used Yamaha street bikes, cruisers, dirt bikes, side-by-sides, scooters and personal watercraft, general manager Dan Chrzanowski told the Gaston Gazette. The store also carries Polaris ATVs, Victory cruisers and Ranger side-by-sides.

Petr Novacek, a five-star Yamaha factory-certified mechanic the Gazette says has a local following already, is the lead technician and the store is fully staffed with 10 employees.

Mooney and Chrzanowski had originally planned to open July 28, but delays in delivery of inventory and computer workstations led them to postpone a week.

Mooney plans a larger open house sale in the fall.
