MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Fulmer Helmets will be the U.S. importer of Spanish brand Shiro Helmets, selling the company’s full range of full-face, off-road, modular and dual-sport models.
The helmets will be available for dealer ordering and stocking in February. Retail pricing for the DOT/ECE-rated helmetswill range from $149 to $349.
Fulmer says its decision to sell Shiro Helmets was a response to dealer requests that they carry helmet options with a higher price point. Like the Fulmer line, Shiro models will be sold directly to dealers only.
“Our dealers love our 'no Internet' policy and all the steps we take to protect their business and their bottom line, but one thing they were asking for was the same business model for higher price point helmets so they can compete with the online outfits in that arena and maximize their margins across the board,” said Fulmer Helmets Product Director Nick LoMonaco. “When we began searching for a solution, we got word of Shiro’s 20-year history as a family-owned helmet company and saw tremendous parallels between our brands. Shiro seemed like a natural fit and the perfect solution to meet our dealers’ needs.”
Shiro Helmets was founded in 1993 and is a family-owned company. Shiro's racing involvement in Europe includes sponsorships in MX2 World Motocross and Moto3.
