GALENA, Ill. – Starting Aug. 1, Galena Harley-Davidson is closed. The dealership will consolidate with Dubuque Harley-Davidson.
“We will be closing our doors at our Galena location and focusing our efforts on our growing Dubuque location,” according to the dealer’s website. “Our Galena staff will be a great asset to our Dubuque team and we look forward to having all of our family under one roof.”
Dealer principal Virgil “Wolf” Schulenberg retains ownership of Dubuque H-D and his original dealership, Sauk Prairie Harley-Davidson in Sauk City, Wis. That store has won 17 Bar & Shield awards since Schulenberg took it over in 1979.
