Garmin International Inc. (Booth 9805) is showing yet another GPS product designed specifically for motorcyclists, the zumo 450.
"The zumo 450 is positioned for the budget-conscious rider who wants a solid and reliable GPS designed for motorcycles," Dan Bartel, Garmin's VP of worldwide sales, tells Dealernews.
A less expensive option to the zumo 550, the zumo 450, comes with a bright, sunlight-readable, UV-resistant touch screen display and a glove-friendly design with left-handed controls and oversized buttons. The waterproof device is preloaded with full North American map data that includes over 6 million points of interest — including hotels, restaurants, gas stations, ATMs and attractions. Plus, users may set customized points of interest, and swap routes and waypoints with other zumo owners via the unit's SD card slot. For fun, there's also a built-in MP3 player and JPEG picture viewer (do not view JPEGs while riding). Bartel says the zumo 450 should be available in March.
