Great Lakes auction house changes name, sets grand opening event

Great Lakes (RV/Marine/Powersports) Auction has changed its name to ADESA Great Lakes, and to celebrate the company is scheduling a grand opening auction Aug. 9 at its facility in Bay City, Mich.

ADESA Great Lakes vehicle auctions will still be dealer exclusive, according to the company. Dealers may bid in-the-lane or via live simulcast or electronic proxy bidding.

"Our goal is to be the best specialty (RV/Marine/Powersports) auction in the world," said ADESA Michigan general manager Ken Gillespie. "This Grand Opening is the kickoff for many great things in store for specialty dealers and consigners."

Auction manager Matthew Zientak says the Aug. 9 grand opening auction has already eclipsed the company's historically biggest sale when it comes to the number of units to be auctioned.

ADESA plans to host a monthly sale every second Tuesday. ADESA Great Lakes is at 573 S. Tuscola Road (M-15), Bay City, MI 48708. For more information, call 989-891-0587 or contact Monty Wiseman, sales specialist, at 989-225-1938.
