Harley-Davidson has launched production of its dirt track-inspired XR1200, which will be released only in Europe, Middle Eastern and African regions this year. The XR1200 was unveiled as a prototype at the Intermot international motorcycle exhibition in Cologne, Germany, in October 2006 to gauge customer and media reaction. To date, about 600 retail orders have been placed across Europe.
H-D's Kansas City facility is producing the XR1200.
