MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Harley-Davidson and Marvel Entertainment are teaming up for a "Man & Machine" contest that will turn five winners into comic book characters to promote the upcoming film Iron Man 3.
Through May 31, consumers can enter the Marvel's Iron Man 3 Man & Machine contest online at www.harley-davidson. com/ironman. To enter, they create a profile, write a character's backstory and choose a favorite Harley motorcycle from a gallery of bikes.
Five winners will be selected to become a part of the “Road Force Team” in a Marvel Avengers comic book, in which their likenesses will be drawn into the series with the motorcycles they chose and the characters they create. All winners will receive a VIP trip to Comic-Con International, where they'll participate in an event to unveil their Road Force characters. One grand prizewinner will also win the custom Harley-Davidson motorcycle they created (sans armaments).
"Collaborating with Marvel for Marvel's Iron Man 3 continues our tradition of crowd-sourcing, fan-driven content,” said Dino Bernacchi, Harley-Davidson marketing communication director.
