Harley-Davidson has asked the city of Wauwatosa, Wis., to approve a plan that would let the Motor Co. sell a portion of its manufacturing plant in the town.

Wauwatosa Director of Economic Development Paulette Enders told Wauwatosa Now the plan would split the parcel, with H-D retaining 28 acres on the north portion of the plot, for its existing product development facility. The other 21 acres, now the manufacturing facilities, would be sold.

Enders says the city has not been notified as to whom the potential buyer would be.
