HAMPSHIRE, England – A tour company is offering customers a chance to relive the iconic journey of “Easy Rider” with a 15-day Harley-Davidson tour package.
The new escorted itinerary, on offer on a choice of dates between May and October 2013, travels from the highways of southern California, across Death Valley, along historic Route 66, ending in New Orleans.
The road trip – which covers 2,718 miles – is accompanied by experienced tour guides who will take riders to the roads immortalized in the film, show guests behind-the-scenes movie props and share stories told by the movie director before his death.
Prices start from about $6,500 (£4150) per person, based on two people sharing a bike and hotel room, inclusive of return flights from Heathrow, Manchester or Glasgow, accommodation with breakfast, welcome and farewell dinners and a rented Harley-Davidson such as a Softail or Road King.
The package also includes unlimited mileage, fuel and oil, services of professional tour leaders, support vehicle backup, National Park entrance fees and custom riding jacket.
