MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Harley-Davidson's 2014 push continues with a larger range of accessories designed to improve both function and convenience. But of course, this is The Motor Co., so a bit of the old rock 'n' roll doesn’t hurt, either.
For riders looking to make traveling easier, H-D has created its Premium Travel-Pak Collection. Shaped specifically to fit Harley-Davidson hard saddlebags and the new Tour-Pak luggage reshaped for 2014 thanks to Project Rushmore, each Travel-Pak bag is crafted from water-resistant ballistic nylon and styled to compliment the matching H-D hard cases.
The bags features comfortable carrying handles, heavy-duty glove-friendly zippers, padded interiors, plenty of pockets, D-rings for optional carrying straps (sold separately), and a 3M reflective trim.
Specific luggage fitments are available for Harley Touring models from 1993 through 2104, starting at $89.95.
For riders looking to add a clean yet functional upgrade, Harley has created the Chisel Collection Fuel Gauge ($179.95) that integrates a clever LED fuel gauge directly to the fuel filler cap for a stealthy look.
As the name suggests, the fuel gauge is styled to match the Chisel line of H-D factory accessories, which includes wheels, brake rotors and air cleaners. The Chisel fuel gauge replaces the stock analog readout with six bright LED lamps that glow blue when the tank is full and extinguish one by one as fuel is consumed. A photocell automatically adjusts LED brightness for improved visibility in direct sunlight, and dims the display at night to avoid distraction. It offers plug-and-play installation without wire splicing, and fits 2009-later Dynas, most 2008-later Softails and all 2008-later Road King models.
Finally, Harley has a more traditional Motor Co. upgrade newly developed for the latest 2014 Sportster models.
The new EPA-stamped Screamin’ Eagle Street Cannon Mufflers ($419.95) boost performance thanks to 3.25-inch high-flow design matched to the head pipes of the 2014 Sportster exhaust and are specifically tuned to deliver improved performance and an aggressive exhaust note that will still preserve the peace with neighbors.
The new mufflers are available in chrome or jet black but require the separate purchase of matching 3.25-inch end caps for an additional $119.95 per pair.
