'Heels and Wheels' Exhibit Celebrates Michigan Women Riders

As H-D is busy hosting Garage Parties for women riders, the Creative Art Center in Pontiac, Mich., has opened the “Wheels and Heels” exhibit celebrating the women who ride solo.

Customized bikes of two prominent Michigan motorcycle clubs, the Sirens and the Iron Divas, as well as Cher, owner of M/C Leather Works, will be part of the showcase of Michigan women and their motorcycles.

A free public reception for the exhibitors is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. March 13, at the art center at 47 Williams St. in Pontiac. The exhibit runs through March 27.

The exhibit will feature artwork that chronicles the different images of women and their motorcycles from past to present, and the motorcycles on display will represent the makes and models that women choose to ride today, according to the Oakland Press.

Biker wear for women by the Sirens, Iron Divas and Rebel Girls also will be on exhibit and available for purchase.
