Helmet House said Thursday that its year-to-date sales through April were the highest they've ever been, though the distributor didn't specify any numbers. The company did say that its April sales were up almost 13 percent over the same period last year.
This came just a week after the Motorcycle Industry Council said that vehicle sales of its reporting members were down 15 percent in the first quarter (UTV sales excluded; click here for the full report).
"We are pleased to announce this very positive sales performance in light of the challenging economic climate for the powersports industry," said Bob Miller, president of Helmet House.
California-based Helmet House is the exclusive distributor of Shoei helmets and TCX boots. It also manufacturers and markets Tour Master and Cortech products, and is the top distributor by volume of HJC helmets. Dealers can obtain more info by calling (800) 421-7247 or visiting www.helmethouse.com.
