DETROIT, Mich. - Another trike conversion option is headed to the market, but for now the dilemma is what to call it.
Gary Pogue of Motor City Trikes, along with Roush Industries, is building a trike kit that’s due out next year. In search of a Detroit-centric name for the conversion, Pogue has asked the public for suggestions.
“We’ve come up with some initials, like M12. Somebody came up with the name Phantom Raptor – you know, different catchy names that are cool for a motorcycle. Somebody came up with the name D-Trike, which kind of sounds like Detroit,” he told WWJ.
The kits will be offered for Harley-Davidson and Honda Goldwing models.
“On the basic side, you could probably do a trike kit in the range of $11,000 or $12,000. And they can run up, depending on options just like any other vehicle, up to maybe $16,000 or $17,000,” he said.
