TALAHASSEE, Fla. – A family with a history in the small airplane business has now opened two Red Hills Powersports stores in Tallahassee. One of the new dealerships is a Honda shop; the other sells Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha and Zero vehicles.

Owners Danny and Mac Langston run Flightline Group Inc., a 30-year-old general aviation company. Flightline is the exclusive dealer in the area for Piper Aircraft, GippsAero and Honda Aircraft Co., maker of the HondaJet business aircraft.

Flightline president and CEO Danny Langston said a customer tipped him that businessman Skip Aldous of Lake City wanted to sell some of his nine dealerships in the Southeast. “We wanted an opportunity to grow that relationship, and one of the ways we could do that was to look at other products Honda has,” he told the Tallahassee Democrat.

The new owners bought the Talahassee dealerships, which were shuttered in April, then spent a several weeks cleaning them up and getting them stocked. Since then, the company has staffed up from seven employees to 20.
