Housing opens for Dealer Expo 2011

Attendee housing officially opened Wednesday, Oct. 27, for Dealer Expo 2011. That means the scramble is on to reserve rooms in your favorite downtown Indianapolis hotel for next February's show.

But wait, this year, it's easier. With the January opening of the JW Marriott complex and newly secured deals with other downtown hotels, dealers attending next February's show are pretty much assured lodging within walking distance of the Indiana Convention Center.

The new JW Marriott hotel complex is not only big by Indy standards, it's Vegas-big. The JW Marriott hotel itself will hundreds of new hotel rooms just across the street from (and accessible via skywalk to) the convention center. Connected to the new Marriott complex are a new Courtyard, a new Springhill Suites, and a new Fairfield Inn. And, yes, the Indianapolis Marriott is still there; just a block up on Maryland St.

Hotels that previously did not provide show rates but which are doing so this year include the prestigious Columbia Club on Monument Circle and the Staybridge Suites on West St. All in all, there are 23 downtown area hotels ready to host Dealer Expo attendees and exhibitors in 2011.

Those attending Dealer Expo will need a housing code in order to book hotel reservations. Visit www.dealerexpo.com and click on Attendee Housing for instructions. Or you can call Travel Planners at 800.221.3531 (outside U.S. and Canada: 212.532.1660).
