MADISON, Wis. – Icon launched its fall/winter gear and apparel during the Parts Unlimited and Drag Specialties Showcase, arriving with an expanded Icon 1000 collection and several significant updates to their classic pieces.
The Icon 1000 collection is the brand’s premium level, and what started as just a handful of options has grown to encompass new choices like the men’s Hood jacket ($600) and the women’s Fairlady ($535) jacket.
The Hood is a departure from Icon’s usual tailored, sportier fit. The leather jacket has a relaxed fit with a design that resembles a hoodie, right down to the removable hood and oversized front pockets.
On the other hand, the Fairlady is a tailored leather jacket, with princess seams and contrast-color stitching and zipper tape (blue for the black leather, and ivory for the brown leather). It also has belt loops and adjustment straps along the bottom.
The Quartermaster ($125) is a casual apparel offering in the Icon 1000 line, resembling a military-issue sweater thanks to its elbow and shoulder patches. There are zippered vents on the upper sleeves, and a fleece-lined interior keeps away sweater itch. The rubber Icon badge on the chest is attached with Velcro, so it can be removed or even replaced.
Other Icon 1000 additions are the driving-style Prep glove ($150) in black or tan, the waterproof, Elsinore-inspired Prep boot ($270) in the same colors and the waterproof women’s Eastside boot ($190) in black.
