It looks like Indian Motorcycles has lost another dealership. A Chicago-area showroom is empty save for a few fixtures, and calls to the store's main phone number are met with a recording from Verizon.

Indian Motorcycles of Chicago, situated 45 miles west of the city in South Elgin, Ill., has shut off the lights. Interestingly, the store's website is still live.

Sources tell Dealernews that the dealership closed its doors after Thanksgiving. It is the latest in a series for the long-suffering marque which fought its way through a number of ownerships before finally being bought by Polaris. A dealership in Wichita, Kansas, dropped the brand a few weeks ago and opted to ride out the rest of the recession by focusing on used bikes.
