STURGIS, S.D. – It’s only been open a few months, but Indian Motorcycle Sturgis says it is already breaking away from the pack when it comes to bike sales.

"Indian Motorcycle Sturgis was the No. 1 volume sales store for July in the dealer network in the country. It will be again in August and will be forever more," dealer principal Bruce Eide told the Rapid City Journal. "It will be the largest Indian store in the country from here on out."

Eide told the paper that he is already looking to double the size of the dealership. "It's just a wonderful relationship and we couldn't be happier," he said. "Indian was the first bike here and we feel this is our rightful place. Here. Now.”

Polaris chairman and CEO Scott Wine, on hand for the reveal of the new 2015 Scout Saturday evening, agreed. "Not only do we have a dealership, we have a wonderful dealership," Wine said. "He sold six bikes today and I'm certain that this is going to be a long-term success story."
