According to a brochure the company was handing out at Dealer Expo, the program offers 100 percent financing of dealers’ auction purchases. Rivco Products Inc. was talking up its new Bagger Budz “saddlebag feet and pin retainer” kit. The clear polyurethane bumpers stick onto the bottom of hard or soft saddlebags, allowing riders to set their bags on any surface without worrying about paint or material damage. The cable set and retainer washers keep saddlebag pins and washers together, preventing them from falling to the bottom of the bag and being lost. The kit includes parts for two saddlebags. MSRP is $19.95. Dealers can order five for $100, and for an extra $10 they get a display (though note that Rivco requires no initial buy-in for new dealers).
Also new from Rivco is the Wench oil filter wrench for 1990-and-newer Harleys, which have little clearance between the crankcase or sensor and the filter. The wrench allows the user to get in that tight spot and rotate the filter without slipping. The tool’s small end has a built-in drain plug wrench. The wrench works on all stock oil filters and retails for $19.99. A retail display is available.
Shinko has expanded its Smoke Bomb tire applications to Harleys with a 150/80-16 size retailing for $209.95. The tire produces orange-colored smoke during the burnout process, even though the tire appearance is black. The tire is nylon-belted, H-speed-rated and DOT-approved. It is intended for off-road exhibition use by professional riders only, and Shinko warns riders to protect all painted surfaces from possible paint change.
Also new from Shinko are 16-inch radials that fit the Ducati Paso from way back when.
About a year ago, Leo Doyle bought B&T Manufacturing, maker of Smooth Ride shocks and moved production from Arizona to Indianapolis. At Dealer Expo the company said the only change it made to the air-tunable chromed billet aluminum shocks was to upgrade the seals. The shocks fit all American and metric V-twin swingarm models that use dual shocks. There are five available stock maximum/minimum length ranges: 11 inches to 9.5 inches, 11.5 inches to 9.5 inches, 12 inches to 10 inches, 12.5 inches to 10 inches, and 13 inches to 10-7/8 inches. Or dealers can custom-order whatever range they want for no additional cost. With any range, customers have the option of single-sprung or dual-sprung configurations. MSRP for the shocks (of any range or any configuration) is $749.
Smooth Ride also offers hardware kits for the Harley-Davidson Sportster, Dyna, Road King and V-Rod.

3BR Powersports was displaying its new Red Band smartphone charging cables (pictured), which overcome the problem of smartphones charging at only half rate when plugged into a generic USB charger. The ability to charge at full rate reduces charging time by as much as half, according to 3BR, and allows the smartphone battery to keep up with high-demand apps such as GPS and streaming video. Red Band cables are available in lengths of 9 inches, 12 inches and 18 inches.
Also new from 3BR Powersports is a 2.1-amp version of its TAPP and Panel TAPP all-weather USB power sockets to charge tablets, GPS units, smartphones and MP3 players.
