The future is something which everyone reaches at the same rate of sixty minutes an hour, whatever he does, who ever he is. – C.S. Lewis
So collectively we are all moving toward Dealer Expo 2009 at the same rate of speed – and by god 60 minutes goes by at a blindingly fast rate! It doesn't matter what the project, the initiative, the product launch, the "thing" you always start out with what seems to be plenty of time (ok, maybe not always). One day you wake up in a full-blown state of panic, wondering how in the heck you can get that one "thing" done along with the other hundreds of "things" you've got going on.
Many of you need to complete your registrations for the 2009 Dealer Expo. Not only is there a lot of change going on within the industry and at the dealership level, but there are quite a few big changes happening at the show as well. There are more than 5,000 dealership personnel who have already registered for Dealer Expo (I guess some of us just do a better job using our PDAs to stay organized...).
There are a lot of good reasons to get registered sooner rather than later. The 2009 show is going to be very different from the shows you've experienced in the past. Two buildings, four show days, segmented exhibit areas, expanded education, fashion shows, multiple new product displays focusing on specific lifestyles and, of course, thousands of new product offerings – which you might not ever get a chance to see if you don't come to Dealer Expo.
I was in Indianapolis last month and had the opportunity to see the completed Lucas Oil Stadium for the first time. Wow! I can't say that enough. Wow! Not only is it a beautiful building, it's well-built and easy to navigate. You're going to want to get on that bus and make the quick journey to the exhibits in the Stadium. Not only will you spend a productive day or so visiting the various exhibitors, but you'll be walking around with your head tipped back, muttering to yourself ... Wow!
Don't forget, Lucas Oil Stadium is where you'll be going to pick up your badge holder (because you wisely registered in advance) and the other materials you need to keep you focused and organized at the show – like your Show Directory, your Show Daily, and your Pocket Survival Guide that Dealernews is producing. The free Dealer Breakfast will be served on the third floor of the stadium overlooking the exhibit floor, so while you're enjoying eggs, bacon and hot coffee you can pan across the floor and say to yourself.... Wow!
How long a minute is depends on which side of the bathroom door you're on. – Zall's Second Row
Don't be on the wrong side of the bathroom door. Join your peers and get registered today, and we'll make sure we keep you fully informed about everything that's going on at the 2009 Dealer Expo. Your money is hard-earned and your time is valuable, so spending both wisely by making the most of the show makes the most "cents."
