Insurer expands, targets powersports dealers

Five Star Specialty Programs, a division of Crump Insurance Services, and part of insurance wholesaler Crump Group, is extending its dealer coverage to all states except Alaska, Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey and Rhode Island.

DEALERsure has been a multiline program providing coverage for rural and suburban franchised and non-franchised auto or truck dealerships. Retail agents submit one application for coverage, and a quote is provided to the retail agent with the "5Star" appointed market for that state. DEALERsure offers coverages such as garage liability, dealer E&O, fire legal liability, hired auto and other products.

The program is also available to powersports dealers, RV dealers, small auto auctions/wholesale dealers and trailer dealers, among others. Repair shops for these dealerships are also eligible.

"We've had inquiries from our retail agents ever since we started this program to provide coverage in more states. We will continue to work with carriers to expand further,” said company senior vice president Michael S. Oliver.
