How do these products differ from what’s already available here in the U.S.?
Denayer: On the chains. The image on this page, http://lockitt.com/chaininfo.htm tells it all. (Editors note: image on page shows two chains, side-by-side.) On the left side is a cheap China-made chain. On the right side is U.K.-made Protector.

What are the details of your dealer start pack?
Denayer: What I envision is a very limited group of dealers stocking an assortment of chains and locks. A starter pack will run around $1,500. Margin is a bit problematic at this point, since we are bringing in relatively small quantities at high cost. Thirty percent off retail is definite and more if we can get volume up and cost down.

As U.S. urban centers grow and motorcycle become more popular for urban travel, do you see locks and security products being more important?
Denayer: Most definitely.
