IRS to auction vintage and modern Harley-Davidsons Dec. 1

ELKMONT, Ala. – Sometimes one person's misfortune is another’s good luck. The Internal Revenue Service announced it will auction 11 Harley-Davidson motorcycles Dec. 1 that were seized for nonpayment of taxes.

Among the bikes on the block are a 1946 Flathead and a 125-cc Hummer from 1950, according to the IRS website. The rest are later models, ranging from a flame-painted black 1973 Sportster Ironhead to a 2009 Rebel 250.

Bidder registration is from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday. Bidding starts at 9 a.m. at Asset Auctions LLC at 25885 Upper Elkton Road in Elkmont, Ala. Advance viewing is from noon to 4 p.m. Friday.
