CORONA, Calif. - Despite the engineering prowess of the various metric motorcycle OEMs, it seems that when their engineers turn their attention to creating metric cruisers, serviceability is not a high priority.

Take a look at most every supersport: routine services such as oil changes are easy and straightforward. On metric V-twin cruisers, the exact same oil filter part number is often buried in the hardest-to-get-to location on the machine.

Jardine says it has a solution for this oversight -- and if so, it's a great upgrade for customers who do their own maintenance and will be a blessing for your dealership’s technicians the next time they have a metric cruiser on their lift.

Jardine’s Oil Filter Relocation Kit (starting at $247) does exactly what it says on the box. By repositioning the oil filter, a two-hour oil change turns into a two-minute job. Stainless steel oil lines connect chromed billet aluminum mounts that accept the stock OEM screw-on cartridge oil filter.
