Job of the week, Jan. 20: Sales director-premium apparel

INDIALANTIC, Fla. - Recruiters at Lonski and Associates seek a sales director for premium imported apparel brands in the northeastern United States.

The position will serve as primary point of contact between the brands and wholesalers as well as direct customers.

The sales director will work with vendors to create relationships as well as product and marketing plans, and provide feedback on product issues and future offerings. The sales director will also work with the logistics team and third parties to develop an efficient product importation process, and work with merchandising to list products on a retail website. Management duties for the sales director will include

  • Inventory planning, sales forecasting and replenishment for assigned vendors
  • Purchase order lifecycle including backorders and pre-books
  • Order processing, inclusive of backorders and pre-orders, for wholesale accounts

The sales manager will also continue to develop retail channels and create a wholesale sales channel.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and five to 10 years experience in online retail and purchasing, including working with and/or developing retail programs. Other desired skills include interfacing with EU apparel; buying seasonal fashion goods and/or hard or soft goods for retail, and proficiency in web/office software including Excel, Gmail and Chrome. The ideal candidate should also have a passion for motorcycling and motorcycle apparel.
