INDIALANTIC, Fla. - Recruiters at Lonski and Associates announce an opening for a general sales manager at a powersports dealership located in the South Bay area of Los Angeles.
The dealership is reportedly one of the largest multiline stores in the United States, according to Lonski recruiter Jan Plessner. "Our client is looking for an experienced, creative and highly organized general sales manager for their busy 45,000 sq. ft. store," she said.
"If you have five or more years in the industry and documented success of managing a successful sales department, this job may be for you," Plessner added.
The person hired for this position will create the dealership's annual sales forecasts by estimating total vehicle sales, gross profit and expenses, and then creating and implementing plans to reach forecast. The manager also is responsible for hiring, training, motivating and monitoring the performance of all vehicle sales employees, and creating an environment that enables the dealership to attain high Customer Service Index scores. The general sales manager will meet weekly with the president and general manager to review forecasts and profits, and will work directly with the GM on formulating recommendations for short- and long-range advertising plans, sales promotions, staffing needs and compensation plans.
The general sales manager, who will report to the GM, also will review inventory on a daily basis and coordinate the adequate supply of vehicles, according to Plessner. In addition, he or she will oversee all online leads.
The dealership seeks applicants with at least five years of motorsports industry experience, and an ability to manage multiple departments and teams.
