HANSON, Mass. – The R1000X full-face helmet from Joe Rocket comes in two designs and boasts 11 vents. The Blaster and Lithium designs feature various color options, and the helmet should be available by Feb. 19.
The R1000X ($169.99) has a polycarbonate composite shell that is wind tunnel tested, and the rear spoiler is integrated into the shell. Inside, a CAD-designed EPS liner is paired with a removable, washable interior.
As for the numerous vents, four of them are at the top of the helmet: two intake vents at the front and two exhaust vents under the spoiler. Three lower intake vents give way to four exhaust vents.
The Snell- and DOT-rated R1000X comes with both a clear and dark smoke shield. Other points of interest are a removable internal air guide to reduce fogging and a removable chin curtain. Sizing ranges from S to 2XL. There are three color options for the Blaster design and six for the Lithium.
