John Deere recalls Gator UTVs for fire hazard

WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, John Deere is recalling its Gator side-by-sides because the fuel line can separate, posing a fire hazard.

The recall affects 4,650 units. John Deere has received three reports of separated fuel lines. No injuries have been reported.

This recall involves John Deere Gator RSX850i Base, Sport and Trail models manufactured between May 2012 and October 2012. The serial number is on the rear frame above the receiver hitch. Only units with the following serial numbers are included in the recall:

1M0850TB++M010013 through 1M0850TB++M010768
1M0850TS++M010001 through 1M0850TS++M011932
1M0850TT++M010001 through 1M0850TT++M012765

Consumers are being advised to stop using the recalled vehicles and contact a John Deere dealer to schedule a free inspection and repair. John Deere is contacting all registered owners directly.
