Kawasaki dealers are in the process of receiving the first batch of KFX450R sport quads. The OEM says shipments began in late March and will continue through early April.
The KFX450R ATV uses a power plant based on Kawasaki's KX450F motocross engine and features an all-aluminum frame, a front suspension design incorporating extremely long lower A-arms mounted to a single box-section lower frame tube, and a cast aluminum swing arm.
Easy to prep for competition, the quad has two-piece front and rear "lapped" fenders, making it possible to replace sections separately if they get damaged. The headlight assembly can be detached quickly for closed-course races. And the KFX450R offers the only reverse gear in its class.
Built in Lincoln, Neb., the KFX450R is offered in three colors and two price points: $7,399 for the lime/black and white/black; and $7,599 for the super black.
