ATHENS, Ga. - Industrial manufacturer Eaton announced that its facility in Athens has received the 2013 Kawasaki Quality Award for the Eaton TVS Supercharger application on the Jet Ski Ultra 300X.
This is the second year in a row for the recognition, stated Jeff Schick, vice president and general manager for Eaton Vehicle Group's supercharger operations. "This award validates not only Eaton's commitment -- and the dedication of the entire Athens team -- to providing the highest quality products to our customers, but also our continued success in expanding our supercharging applications into alternative, non-automotive markets such as with the Kawaski Jet Ski Ultra 300X."
The Jet Ski is one of the first non-automotive applications for Eaton's supercharger.
Kawasaki Quality Awards are based on Supplier Report Card Scores, which take into account defective parts per million (PPM), Corrective Action Requests and on-time responses to those requests, network hours accumulated, and complete first article inspection submissions. Eaton's Athens facility had zero PPM, zero spills, no quality returns and 100 percent on-time delivery to Kawasaki in 2012, it was announced.
